Set The Pace, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization formed with the intent to develop the community of East Hartford and its surrounding areas by providing a high-quality youth sports and mentorship program.
We concentrate on at-promise youth, justice involved youth and families impacted by incarceration. We lead them through our mentorship program by using our basketball platform. Developing their skills, providing exercise based therapeutic measures and discipline so they can work through life challenges.
Alex holds a USAB Gold Coach License certified through The National Federation of State High School Associations with almost a decade of experience coaching Grassroots Exposure Basketball. Alex takes pride in being a community leader and advocate throughout New England with direct ties to organizations in East Hartford CT, Providence, RI & Worcester, MA.
Randy has served as a peer navigator for the Greater Hartford region, specializing in connecting individuals affected by the opioid epidemic with community-based resources. Randy is the founder of New England Officiating Services where he develops new and current basketball officials from youth to professional level. Randy also serves as the Chairman at the YMCA of East Hartford.
Ashley is a Central Connecticut State University Graduate earning a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. She has spent the past nine years working in the Construction Industry with a focus on Credit Management and Analysis. A genuine leader who looks forward to giving back to the community by providing support and guidance to the Youth of Central Connecticut.
